(There’s more detailed information at the bottom of this page if you’re a detail person.)

  • Reservation is required for each Sunday environment including Adult Service, Waumba Land, Upstreet, Transit and Inside Out.

  • Masks are required while on campus for people 6 and up.

  • Capacity will be limited as to maintain appropriate social distancing

//ALL THE DETAILS

Q: HOW DID YOU MAKE THE DECISION TO OPEN?

A: We’ve waited longer than most churches to open in-person services because we believed its what we should to do love our neighbors well. As schools begin to reopen in Alachua county and the COVID cases decline, we began conversations with Alachua County Emergency Management, City and County officials and received guidance from the CDC on the safest way to proceed. Our leadership is also comprised of business professionals, educators, lawyers, and city officials which have led us well through this process.

In addition to that guidance, we also surveyed hundreds of our volunteers and guests to gauge how comfortable they feel in coming back to a physical gathering. We also solicited their feedback on safety measures that’s helped inform how we are proceeding.

Q: CAN YOU GIVE ME MORE DETAILS ON WHAT SAFETY MEASURES ARE HAPPENING?

  • 2 tents are going to be set up to screen every person BEFORE they enter campus. Those tents will ensure the following things:

    • Everybody on campus has pre-registered

    • Everybody on campus is temperature checked

    • Every person on campus has been confirmed symptom-free

  • Building capacity is limited to 20%

  • Seats in Auditorium will maintain social distancing

  • Front row of seats are 15+ feet from stage

  • Restrooms and all surfaces will be sanitized and cleaned before and after each service

  • No drinking fountains

  • No Hospitality food service (coffee)

  • Doors will be held open

  • Auditorium doors will stay open during service for air flow

  • No hand outs

  • Kids Environments will switch toys between services

  • All toys and family ministry surfaces will be sanitized before and after each service

  • Family ministry check-in labels will be pre-printed

  • Family ministry building will be limited capacity at any given time

  • Every kids room will be limited to specific capacity based on square footage

  • Kids will rotate to different large group environments to limit exposure to larger groups

  • Anthem has also purchased an electro-static cleaner that will be used before and after each experience.

Q: ISN’T ALL THIS OVER THE TOP AND UNNECESSARY?

A: We don’t think so, and neither does the Centers for Disease Control. We’re going to proceed with the safety of our neighbors in mind.

Q: WHAT ARE SOME OF THE OTHER IMPROVEMENTS and changes ON CAMPUS?

A: Thanks for asking! There’s been a ton happening… some of which we’re going to keep a secret. :) We’ve updated lighting and theming in both Waumba Land and UpStreet (just wait until you see it!). We’ve also painted, deep cleaned and organized almost every space on campus. If you head down the hall by the restrooms, you’ll find a new art installation that reminds us of how our community thrives through the wave of generosity that is Be Rich. Last but not least, there’s also a brand new Guest Services desk in the lobby to serve our Guests even better. I can’t wait for you to see it all when you head in!

Q: i’d love to ask you a question, how can I reach out?
